Four Ways to Meet the Neighbors

Some of them have been here since before the state was. None of them have moved out.

Most booked

A coffin on wheels, with better suspension.

The Ghost Bus Tour

$58 2 hours 23 seats Very little walking

The full city in one night. We cover the ground no walking tour can reach, with stops at the locations the stories actually happened in.

Meets at 2415 San Diego Ave, San Diego CA 92110

Equipment included

Do things happen? Now and then. Never on command, which is rather the point of a ghost.

Old Town Walking Ghost Tour with Paranormal Investigation

$42 90 minutes About 1 mile

The graveyard, the chapel, and Heritage Park, which is ours exclusively. Part history walk, part hands-on investigation. You use the equipment yourself.

Meets at 2454 Heritage Park Row, San Diego CA 92110

Goes indoors

A district built on gambling, gin and girls. Three vices that all end the same way.

Haunted Gaslamp Walking Ghost Tour

2 hours About 1.5 miles Mature content

Downtown after dark, brothel history and true crime, and we go inside the DH House and the Horton Grand Hotel. The city is loud out there. That is half the fun.

Meets at 215 Fifth Ave, San Diego CA 92101

Daylight, all ages

The same streets, the same stories, and considerably better lighting.

Daytime History Walking Tours

Old Town Gaslamp Family friendly

History first, told straight, with the folklore attributed rather than sold as fact. Good for families, groups and anyone who would rather not be out late.

Local versus national

You Are Booking a Company or a Call Center

One of them is standing on the corner at seven. The other has a customer service queue.

Booking with us

  • The owner answers the text. Same number, every night.
  • Guides live in San Diego and research these locations themselves.
  • Free cancellation and no booking fees when you book direct.
  • Exclusive access to Heritage Park and indoor access at two Gaslamp locations.
  • If a tour cannot run, you hear it from a person, not a form letter.

Booking through a reseller

  • You may pay 30 to 50 percent more per ticket for the same seat.
  • Changes and refunds route through a third party on their timeline.
  • The company you reach is not the company running the tour.
  • Placement in their listings is bought, not earned.

What actually makes it different

Nothing Here Is Faked. That Is the Whole Trick.

01

We go inside

The DH House and the Horton Grand Hotel on the Gaslamp tour. Most San Diego ghost tours are sidewalk only, start to finish.

02

Heritage Park is ours

We are the only tour allowed in the park. The buildings are under renovation so we stay outside them, and we concentrate our time there and in the graveyard.

03

You hold the equipment

On the paranormal tour the gear goes in your hands, not the guide's. It is an interactive history tour as much as an investigation.

04

No actors, no jump scares

Nobody in a mask is going to chase you. True stories told theatrically, and when something happens it happens on its own schedule.

05

Legend labeled as legend

Where the record and the story disagree, we tell you both and say which is which. History is fickle and we would rather attribute than adjudicate.

06

Twenty years in one city

San Diego's first local ghost tour, still run by the same people, still in the same neighborhoods.

Questions the Living Tend to Ask

Do you go inside the Whaley House?

No, and no ghost tour does. We cover it from outside on the Old Town tour. Where we do go indoors is the Gaslamp tour, at the DH House and the Horton Grand Hotel.

How intense is it?

Theatrical, not startling. No actors, no jump scares, nothing staged. The Gaslamp tour carries mature content, brothel history and true crime, so it suits adults and older teens better than small children. The daytime history tours are fine for all ages.

How much walking is there?

The Old Town walk is about a mile over roughly 90 minutes. The Gaslamp walk is about 1.5 miles over two hours at a steady pace. The bus tour involves very little walking, which makes it the right pick if distance is a concern.

What should I bring?

Comfortable shoes, a layer for the evening, and a sense of humor. Use the bathroom before you arrive. Everything else we provide.

What if I need to cancel?

Book direct and cancellation is free, with no booking fee in the first place. If you booked through a third party, their cancellation terms apply and their refunds move on their schedule, not ours.

Do the tours run in the rain?

Usually yes, San Diego rarely makes it a real question. If weather or anything else means a tour cannot run, you will hear from us directly by text with your options.
